Julia and I made a list this evening, Packing for Brussels, with columns for each of us to check off the items once we've packed them for ourselves (M, J, L = Mommy, Julia, Lucy).
2 jammies, 7 pairs socks, 8 pairs underwear, 2 pants, 2 long sleeve shirts, 1 rain coat, 1 pair tennies, walking sandals, skirt or dress, 4 shorts, toiletries, best friends (stuffed toys), 6-7 t-shirts, 1 swim suit, 1 sweater, a hat, tennis racquets, school stuff, tennis outfits, cash, snacks.
We already have started to pack our backpacks for carry-on. Those contain journals, books, games (Set, Rat-a-Tat-Cat, Boggle, plus regular playing cards), Legos, iPods, pens, pencils, and other art supplies. Lucy convinced me to bring the much more practical green backpack over the supremely more attractive but hard on the shoulder tote bag. I adore that girl's practicality.
Lucy said as I was shuffling them off to bed, "Mom, can we do this more in the morning? I'm really into it now."
