We three girls are just counting down the days until we get to Brussels and join Brian. We are getting a little restless. I think Julia in particular is not really sure what this whole journey is going to be like, which of course makes sense because she's eight years old and she does not have any relative experiences for comparison.
This week I have been finishing out some work tasks, paying bills ahead of time, keeping the kids stress-free, happy and well-rested, worrying about the cats and the house, and making sure we're properly packed.
Brian's been settling into his job responsibilities, scouting out more fun activities for us (he seems to have Sunday planned), and apparently eating well. I don't have the sense that he's picking up or trying out a lot of French. I hope the girls will speak as much French as possible while we are there and not be too shy about it.
